Several people wrote reviews wondering if Preggie Pops were really worth the money and if a hard candy like Jolly Ranchers might do the same trick. I decided to run an experiment. During the height of my morning sickness, I compared Preggie Pops to Jolly Ranchers, Gobstoppers, and Lemonheads. The only thing that eased my nausea were the Preggie Pops. The other candies were so sugary that they ended up making me feel even more nauseous than when I started. My findings: Preggie Pops are definitely worth the money (and I have 3 more boxes being shipped to my house as we speak).

The only downside to these pops is that if you suck on several in a row, the roof of your mouth becomes raw.

My final thought about morning sickness is that you have to run some experiments to find what works for your body. My husband bought me acupressure bands (which many people rave about), and these did nothing for me but hurt my wrists. I also tried ginger flavored candy, which just made me sicker because I don’t like the flavor of ginger to begin with. The only thing that I found to ease my sickness is Preggie Pops. But each person is different….keep trying different things until you find something that works for you!

I have not had awful nausea but when it hits these little drops help to nip it in the bud. I have been thankful to have them when the wave of nausea comes. I particularly like the drops over the pops because you can be more discreet about how you are feeling. Sucking on a lolli pop as an adult brings attention.

I had really bad morning sickness for the first 4 months of pregnancy. These drops were the only food/candy that seemed to take the edge off of my constant nausea. They are a temporary fix, but worked great. Plus the tartness of them was delicious.

Before using these drops, I had never had ANY problems with my teeth (no cavities, no sensitivity, etc.). After using this product for only 4 days, I developed excruciating sensitivity to even slightly cold drinks on my bottom left molars. (I always sucked on the candies on the left side of my mouth, between the bottom molars and the left cheek.) The citric acid in the candy eroded the enamel on my teeth, leaving me with highly sensitive and painful molars. It has been over a week and the pain is not easing up at all. I have seen a dentist who has ruled out a cavity or cracked tooth…the only explanation is acid erosion due to these sour candies. The dentist gave me a special paste to apply to the teeth at night which is supposed to give sensitivity relief almost immediately. Unfortunately, it has done nothing for my pain and actually seems to make it worse. I never would have imagined that sucking on only 10 drops over the course of four days could actually hurt my teeth so dramatically, but there really is no other explanation. I am glad that these drops have helped other people get through months of morning sickness, but for me, they did nothing but ruin my previously perfect teeth.

I love this product – after living on nothing but ginger ale and saltines for a week, I decided to try these and they actually worked. I tried some regular lemon drops while I was waiting for these to arrive in the mail, and they did help a little. But the Preggie Pop Drops are way better, at least for me. I can suck on them discreetly while in a meeting or pop one in when I’m running errands. I love the flavors (even the green apple, which I wasn’t too sure about). The effects don’t last too long, that would be my only complaint. But having the freedom to go to work and not carry a trash bag with me everywhere is worth it!
